Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to do to prepare for my scheduled flooring installation/sand & stain appointment?

Remove items and breakables from free standing furniture, the tops of dressers, tables, etc

Empty the floor space of closets being worked on

Disconnect and remove any electronics

Remove bedding from beds

Move children's items and pets to an unaffected area of your home

How do I maintain my hardwood flooring?

Using only recommended floor cleaners and conduct regular dust mopping. Your goal should not be to have to sand and refinish your floors often, but you will need to periodically re-coat them, when necessary.

Is oil based polyurethane better than water based?

No, however, all polyurethanes (oil or water) are brand specific. The water based polyurethanes we offer are significantly more durable than an oil base finish. Each finish has a unique finished appearance.

Are you an insured company?

Yes, we are a fully insured, limited liability flooring company.

What is your estimated time for installation?

Once your estimate is complete and your product order has been placed, it is typically 5 to 10 business days.

Do you have a showroom?

No, we network with several major flooring suppliers (Lowe's, Home Depot, LL Flooring), as well as local companies, who either have the showrooms or provide us with samples that we can bring to you.

How long will it take to refinish my floor?

It depends on several factors: the size of your job, type of finish, stain involved, humidity, among other factors
